Home
Education in England and Wales.
There
are no official figures on how many home educators there are in the UK
but it is widely accepted that there are in excess of fifty thousand in
this rapidly growing community. This means that the average number of
home educating children in each LEA is between 250 and 300, many of whom
are unknown to their local authority.
This
course will improve understanding about the diverse ways that families
home educate and assist Local Authorities to develop legally supportable
policies and positive relationships between themselves and the home education
community.
