Learning Unlimited has
published its first book, a European joint enterprise, in cooperation with Educational Heretics Press in the spring
2006 called:

Learner-Managed Learning
and Home Education:
A European Perspective Apprentissage auto-géré
et instruction à la maison:
une perspective européenne Selbstbestimmtes Lernen
und Bildung ohne Schule:
eine europäische Perspektive

Learner-managed education is a philosophy that has many supporters but little official recognition in this increasingly centralised and bureaucratised Europe. The home education movement has led the way in advancing this approach to education; Learning Unlimited was set up in part to promote it throughout Europe and it was for this reason that this project was born.

The present book is based on speeches given at the Learning Unlimited Conference in 2005. It is composed of academic presentations about learner-managed learning, followed by personal experiences from home educators in France, Germany and Switzerland. To enable these ideas to be read further throughout Europe the articles within are in English, French and German
